Very family friendly and great cabins within 50 feet of the lake. Fantastic food at their restaurant and bar, and extremely friendly staff. This place holds a special place in my heart.
I've been coming to this resort since I was a little one. We weren't able to go for about 5-6 years since my family moved to Iowa, but last year we went again and I gotta tell you, nothing has changed!! This place is extremely beautiful and always has been. The fishing is still the best, and the people working there, whether it's the dock-boys, bartender, chef, or owners, they'll treat as if you were part of their family!! The food is great as well, I definitely recommend the buffalo chicken wontons, they're superb!! And also, everyone always has a smile on their face, it's definitely a feel good, happy place to be at!! Definitely worth the money, you won't regret it!!
Every year (for 15 years) my family goes up for a long weekend to hear my dad play in the Nelson's bar, and enjoy the incredible beauty of the area. The management is great, staff is always super friendly, and the beach is great!
This is a great place to go. My family has known the Nelson's for years. Always a great time. My grandparents worked for them years ago. The fishing guides know there stuff. Just go and have fun.
